Over the years I have spent many hours scouring the internet and saddler's web sites for quality used saddles for my own horses.

I have often been disappointed with the service or the quality of saddles available.

My own saddle fitter, who is freelance and has over 40 years experience, has also struggled in the past to advise clients where to go to find a range of quality saddles which meet her criteria: ie have wide gullets and large weight bearing surfaces.

When I decided to take early retirement in 2012, I jokingly sparred with my fitter that she needed a 'saddle selector’; someone who had the time to source the type of saddles she and her clients were looking for. Being out on the road fitting all day she didn’t have the time to search and source saddles..... and so The Saddle Selector was 'born'!

I've also now formed links with other freelance saddle fitters in Yorkshire, Lancashire, the Midlands, Essex and the wider regions and I'm now sourcing and supplying quality used saddles for them and their clients.

We all recognise and appreciate that not everyone can afford a new saddle. The Saddle Selector stocks mainly used quality saddles, along with new saddles from time to time.
